Chatlek is a free anonymous chat room for one-to-one conversations with strangers who are online right now. There is no registration, no email address and no password. You choose a display name, an age, an avatar and a country, and you are in the room, usually in under a minute.
Everything you create is tied to a temporary session. When you log out, close the tab, or go quiet long enough to time out, your profile and every message in every conversation is deleted from the server permanently. There is no chat history to find later, by you or by anyone else.

Common questions
Do I need an account to chat?
No. Filling in the short form on this page creates a temporary session, and that session is the only identity involved. There is no password to set and no email to confirm.
Are my messages really deleted?
Yes. When your session ends, whether by logging out, closing the tab, or timing out from inactivity, your profile, your conversations and every message in them are removed from the server permanently. There are no backups to restore from. Read the full breakdown.
Can I choose who I talk to?
You pick anyone from the live directory. Each entry shows a name, age, gender, avatar and country, and you can search or filter the list before you decide.
What if someone behaves badly?
Every conversation has a report option where you select the reason and the exact messages involved, so a moderator can check what actually happened rather than take either side on trust. You can also mute a conversation to stop its notifications.
Is Chatlek free?
Yes, and there is nothing to upgrade to. No subscription, no credits, no advertising profile built from your conversations.
How old do I have to be?
You must be at least 16. Age is self-reported and not verified, which is worth keeping in mind about everyone else in the room too.
